01 / The story
The frame after everyone left.
The rain had cleared, leaving the pier lights doubled across the concrete. Mara held the car at the edge of the industrial glow so the bodywork could disappear and return one line at a time.
Nothing in the frame is trying too hard. The stance is quiet, the surroundings do the storytelling, and the taillights give the photograph just enough pulse to feel in motion.
The composition
A low horizon and long roofline carry the eye toward the bridge lights without losing the car in the architecture.
The color
Graphite, sodium light, and restrained red. The wet ground supplies the contrast instead of added effects.
