Dream Garage and Sightings can keep preview data in this browser profile without creating a public account or uploading a sighting. Anyone who can use the same browser profile may be able to see that local data.
Stored in this browser profile
Dream Garage source IDs, board assignments, descriptions, and notes use local browser storage. Sightings stores a local ID, UTC day, era, body style, and exterior-visible detail. This data is not synced to an SKRT account or another device, but other people using the same browser profile may be able to view it.
Sighting photos stay in the tab
A photo selected in Sightings is held in memory only for the current tab. It is discarded when you clear it, log the sighting, reload, or leave. The photo and filename are never written to browser storage or uploaded. Sightings does not request or store GPS and has no public feed.
Sightings retention
Each time Sightings runs, it deletes entries older than 90 days from the site’s local storage and keeps the newest 25 entries. If you do not return to Sightings, the browser may retain older records until the next visit or until site data is cleared. It does not retain the photo, filename, capture time, or location.
Delete local preview data
Use “Clear journal” in the Field Journal to delete every local Sightings record from this browser profile. Clearing this site’s browser data also removes local Sightings and Dream Garage data. Data in a different browser profile or device must be cleared there separately.
Shared snapshots
A shared Dream Garage link contains only the board name and the approved source IDs visible on that board. Notes and board descriptions are deliberately excluded. Opening or copying a snapshot does not upload your local garage to SKRT.
Public pages and future accounts
Public discovery, photographer, shot, build, event, and board pages contain curated preview records; Sightings is not a public feed. Account storage, analytics, consent choices, export, moderation appeals, and regional disclosures require a counsel-approved policy that matches the services actually deployed. Those remain launch gates, not current claims.
